Soooo ready... Miss Sadie at 33 weeks

It's as if the Baby Center people are writing about ME personally!! I had a really rough night last night trying to get comfortable and get to sleep. I just finally broke down (hormones, I'm sure) from frustration. Sadly, standing the the most comfortable position for me right now. She crushes my organs and moves every time I breathe in or out...obviously b/c my lungs are moving her out of the way.

I saw a side shot of me at church singing yesterday...can we say MOOOOOO.... seriously. Singing is getting difficult, talking for any amount of time (teaching) is getting hard...I can't breathe right now.

Yesterday was the worst I've felt since I first got pregnant. The pain down below is 10 times worse than it was. I realized as I turned over in bed a few nights ago, it's taking all my leg strength to get me turned over at night...so the muscles being used are muscles I've never felt before... therefore, that feeling like I fell on the bar of a boy bike is horrible. I'd feel much better if there were a real explanation for it, like I got kicked in between the legs or actually fell on a boy bike. But the "stretching" and new muscle use thing...just seems unreal.

I come home overwhelmingly tired and worn out. School, church, the store... it all takes a toll right now.

I know that when this is ALL over, I'm going to look back and wonder where the time went. I think the only reason I'm complaining so much right now is because up until now, it's been so easy. God's just getting me ready for the hardships of parenthood... Baby Bootcamp. I'm already trained on the waking up for 2 - 3 hours in the middle of the night... I have the lack of sleep thing down. The stresses of being a mommy...well, that will come later. I guess being a teacher of 22 little turkeys is pretty good training, but I get to give them back to their parents! :)

Okay, I'm done complaining. Pictures coming soon. Here's what the experts say:

Your pregnancy: 33 weeks
See the big picture
How your baby's growing:This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (heft a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead-like appearance.) These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.See what your baby looks like this week.Note: Every baby develops a little differently — even in the womb. Our information is designed to give you a general idea of your baby's development.
How your life's changing:As your baby fills out even more of your belly, lots of things might start to change: Whereas before you were sashaying, you may find yourself waddling. Finding an easy position to sit in — let alone sleep — is becoming more of a challenge. And bumping into chairs and counters is par for the course. You may be feeling some achiness and even numbness in your fingers, wrists, and hands. Like many other tissues in your body, those in your wrist can retain fluid, which can increase pressure in the carpal tunnel, a bony canal in your wrist. Nerves that run through this "tunnel" may end up pinched, creating numbness; tingling, shooting or burning pain; or a dull ache. Try wearing a splint to stabilize your wrist or propping your arm up with a pillow when you sleep. If your work requires repetitive hand movements (at a keyboard or on an assembly line, for instance), remember to stretch your hands when you take breaks — which should be frequently. Many women are still feeling sexy at this stage — and their partners often agree. You may need to make some adjustments, but for most women, sex during pregnancy is fine right up until their water breaks or their labor starts.

Oh, I totally remember this phase and I do not envy you! But I know you are excited as the date gets closer. I had that same pain too...I felt like I had pulled my groin or something. It lasted forever, but as soon as I gave birth...gone!

I wish I could make it to your shower this weekend, but we have our annual playgroup halloween party that same afternoon. But post pictures after the event!
